Strawberry dye follows the same process as most other fruit, except that I didn’t heat the dye bath once the wool was in. I cut up the strawberries and simmered them in water for 1 hour, drained the bits out then soaked the wool for about 3 hours. The last time I dyed with strawberries the color was more purple, this could be because I heated the dyebath or because the strawberries were newer (and more edible…these were almost completely mush).
